2013 brought us the Azura cruise, Together tour and Gawsworth for the first time and Preston with Russell Watson to name but a few!
Here is a video from Preston at the Katy Holmes benefit concert that people have fallen in love with (look at the views)
The first time I heard him sing live. I was in so much awe I forgot to breath and nearly passed out lol. I will never forget that moment.
I agree Morag, awesome . I was watching the audience, there was hardly any movement in their heads, as they were so transfixed with the beauty and power of Jonathan’s voice.
Here is the video of 18 yr old Jonathan's performance on AZURA Cruise of Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. Such maturity of voice for one so young. Awesome.
Ahhh April 2013 ~ AZURA CRUISE !! As soon as I learned the duo were appearing as Celebrity Guests on the 4 day Cruise ~ I booked my ticket, flew to Southampton, and boarded the AZURA, then waited in great anticipation to attend the 3 consecutive evening concerts. To ensure I would get a good seat in the lovely Azura Theatre I was first (and only person) in the queue ONE HOUR before the concert was due to begin. I then recognised Jan from her profile picture on FB, and she took me to where other fans had gathered near the doors to the Theatre. That 4 day cruise on AZURA and the 3 consecutive concerts are now imprinted in my memory. I was completely mesmerised by Jonathan's amazing voice and hearing him in a LIVE performance. Awesome. I had never been interested in Classical or Opera music but when Jonathan Antoine walked out to perform his solo pieces I was spellbound. At 18 yrs of age he performed Una Furtiva Lagrima and I was intrigued. Then Jonathan performed Empty Chairs at Empty Tables and his presentation and passion left imprints in my psyche. I am so grateful that Jonathan's sister Charlotte was in the audience and managed to capture The Antoine Azura performances on her mobile phone. Here is the link to 18 yr old Jonathan's Una Furtiva Lagrima performance on AZURA .... Amazing ......
I have watched this video many times in the past, it's a wonderful clip, Russel and Jonathan sound amazing together. I wonder if their professional careers will ever cross in the future?
Wonderful to read about all your memories of seeing Jonathan. Please keep them coming!!
Potters, Barking, Rhyl,Bourmouth,Sothend,Birmiham, London Appolo and Gawsworth, as a duo. Wow how many wonderful life long frienships were formed. That has increased 20 fold since you lauched your Solo career. Highlights from The Believe Tour will live with me forever.

From the 1st time you undid you carefully hand tied Bow Tie ( sorry to your Mum) and sang Bring Him Home ( The James Bond of Tenor Voices) I misssed just one venue on your Believe Tour Ive missed one or two since when youve toured with othe rartist, but I have built a memory bank well documented in my heart. This will sustain me as I get older.Obvoisly I will see you at least 3 times in the coming months. Bless you Jonathsn Antoine and Team Antoine
I was there too at Katie Holmes Trust, wish I had been on the Cruise too
I was lucky enough to be in the audience at The Katy Holmes event in Preston. Jonathan blew everyone away that night. Together with Russell they sang Ava Maria.. you could hear a pin drop! His rendition of Empty Chairs and Empty table was for me the best i had ever heard. I had to fight back the tears throughout his performance. There was a genuine camaraderie between the two tenors which was a pleasure to see. They seemed to have great fun together and a few laughs along the way with the audience.
What a wonderful event to also attend. Money was raised for the charity who are hoping to find a cure for children with terminal brain tumors. Katy herself lost her battle but hopefully more children can be helped by the money raised in events such as this.
