With three men in the house all sitting up watching the American Super Bowl, I am enjoying listening to you on my husband’s new Amazon Echo. Will you get the royalties from Amazon for every song I listen too? I hope you do!
I am in my seventieth year, I make my sons laugh when I say I was born the same year as the NHS 1948 - they reply before colour pictures in the black & white days. I have let technology pass me by, when something breaks down I shout “John this is not working” my sister who lives on her own is forever giving me a row for not trying myself. I am ashamed to say I only got a pay as you go mobile last year and have only made one call. Prefer speaking to people rather than texting, although I e-mail quite a bit.
I am still learning too but it gets easier more I try. Jonathan has got me tweeting facebooking Instgram Shazam and Spotify lol Im nearly 72 my Grandson laughs at me .
Hi Marlene , I too have googled the song titles. I have found it so interesting to research the stories within the songs too. It sounds a good idea what you have suggested .
i love to see the English translation too but i just type the Italian tittle in to google lol its easy. it will tide you over till you can get all the lyrics. 😎💖
When you bring out your new album later this year, would it be possible to include a pamphlet with the words in English so that I can understand the meaning of the songs and maybe attempt to singalong. Don’t know the logistics of this on a CD but some old albums we used to buy included the words on the back or even produce a download from your website.
When I put on your CD this morning your voice cheered me up and always puts a smile on my face which my husband John is also happy to see Ha Ha! I don’t have a favourite song – can’t make up my mind as each one is a pleasure to listen to. From someone who can’t sing a note, listening to your songs that go into a crescendo top note makes my heart sore with you. You should know what your music means to me, I take comfort in the knowledge that your loyal Fantonians’ devotion (which I am proud to be one of) also gives you a smile or two.
ps I am honoured to say I officially sang with you at the Lowther Pavilion – what a great idea that was to have a singalong with the audience.
Just keep on doing what you are doing. You appear to have got it right so far and I have complete faith in you to keep on getting it right! So looking forward to the new album.
Well between Pintrest, Facebook and Twitter I was wondering if we can get some recent photos of you? Your smiling face makes me happy along with your beautiful voice ..Pretty Please :)
Will you ever sometime study the score of La Boheme for the part of Rudolfo - even just for practice! and 'in case' (do so hope)

The stars were shining
Versions: #1#2#3
(Literal translation)
-
The stars were shining,
And the earth was scented.
The gate of the garden creaked
And a footstep grazed the sand...
Fragrant, she entered
And fell into my arms.
Oh, sweet kisses and languorous caresses,
While feverishly I stripped the beautiful form of its veils!
Forever, my dream of love has vanished.
That moment has fled, and I die in desperation.
And I die in desperation!
And I never before loved life so much,
Loved life so much!
CHE GELIDA MANINA English Translation
What a frozen little hand,
let me warm it for you.
What's the use of looking?
We won't find it in the dark.
But luckily
it's a moonlit night,
and the moon
is near us here.
Wait, mademoiselle,
I will tell you in two words,
who I am, what I do,
and how I live. May I?
Who am I? I am a poet.
What do I do? I write.
And how do I live? I live.
In my carefree poverty
I squander rhymes
and love songs like a lord.
When it comes to dreams and visions
and castles in the air,
I've the soul of a millionaire.
From time to time two thieves
steal all the jewels
out of my safe, two pretty eyes.
They came in with you just now,
and my customary dreams
my lovely dreams,
melted at once into thin air!
Bu the theft doesn't anger me,
for their place has been
taken by hope!
Now that you know all about me,
you tell me who you are.
Please do!
